Submission Instructions
For Articles published in JCM, copyright will be retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the article is properly cited, the use is non-commercial and no modifications or adaptations are made.
Reproducing Published Material from Other Publishers It is necessary to obtain copyright permission to reproduce any published material (figures, schemes, tables, or any extract of a text) which does not fall into the public domain, or for which they do not hold the copyright. If your article makes use of any previously published material, then permission should be requested by the authors from the copyright holder, or the author or their employer (if the work is unpublished). Some publishers will also require that you seek the permission of the original author (you will need to check the terms of the publisher’s permission).
In order to avoid unnecessary delays in the publication process, you should start obtaining permissions as early as possible. The copyright holder may give you instructions on the form of acknowledgment to be followed; otherwise follow the style: "Reproduced with permission from [author], [book/journal title]; published by [publisher], [year]." at the end of the caption of the Table, Figure or Scheme.
