Abstract—In this paper, the Relay Selection (RS) schemes for cooperative downlink Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) networks is investigated to evaluate impact of the number of multiple relays on outage performance. The fixed power allocations and the number of relay are considered as main factors affecting on cooperative NOMA performance. This paper considers the outage probabilities of the separated signals in NOMA determined by simulation and analytical methods. The intuitive main results show that the considered relay selection schemes with higher number of relay outperforms the less number of relay in such cooperative NOMA networks.
